The Fraxel® laser intensively treats the skin without affecting any surrounding tissue. This reduces healing time and promotes the skin's natural process for creating new, healthier tissue to replace damaged cells. The procedure takes less than an hour to treat a full face and is performed only by our highly qualified physicians. Most men and women see immediate results, but experience the most benefit in three to five treatments. There is simply nothing like it for improving the appearance of your skin and giving you a renewed sense of confidence!
FRAXEL RE:STORE® DUAL WAVELENGTH SYSTEM
The newest product in the Fraxel family, Fraxel re:store has 2 unique laser wavelengths penetrating different layers of the skin to address both deep and superficial indications with maximum efficacy and safety, consistently for all skin types anywhere on the body.
What it treats
Fraxel re:store Dual Wavelength treatment has FDA clearances for:
• Wrinkles and irregular texture
• Acne scars and surgical scars
• Accelerated clearance of age spots/sunspots
• Melasma (irregular patches of brown skin on the forehead, cheeks, upper lip and nose)
• Actinic Keratoses (precancerous lesions)
• Skin resurfacing
How is this Fraxel technology different?
Fraxel uses a laser to resurface damaged skin. With this new technology, there are now two laser treatment modes: one specifically treats concerns such as wrinkles or acne scarring that are deeper in the skin layers. The second treatment mode is new and effectively targets sun spots, age spots and tone and texture, which are more superficial.
What are the benefits of the new technology?
This new technology has all the benefits that we love about Fraxel, faster treatment times, increased comfort and an additional treatment mode for pigmentation. The results are comparable to superficial CO2 resurfacing results but without the degree of downtime or wound care. By combining the two treatment modes, patients can get more effective resurfacing, treating both deep and superficial conditions.
What can I expect after treatment?
Generally, patients will experience some redness for several days. As your skin heals, you may see bronzing and peeling. There is no wound care, but you may apply moisturizer and sun protection as instructed. After the healing process, you can expect:
• Smoother, fresher and younger looking skin
• Improved tone & texture
• Reduced appearance of unwanted brown spots
How long until I see the results?
You may see some results immediately after treatment and after the healing process is complete. Results continue to improve over time and throughout your series of treatments.
How many treatments will I need?
Everyone’s skin is different, but typically patients can expect great results in multiple sessions, depending on your desired outcomes. These sessions are generally spaced 2 to 6 weeks apart.
Can I treat skin on other parts of the body?
With this new technology we can treat multiple areas in a single session. So as well as treating sun spots on your face, we can treat your hands, neck and décolleté. The new Fraxel technology has been optimized to effectively treat pigmentation on your skin, such as age or sun spots. But don’t forget that Fraxel also treats wrinkles, acne scars and general skin resurfacing. Fraxel is the gold standard in resurfacing treatments and with this new technology, it’s even better.
