MIRACLE WORKERS
"I have suffered almost all of my life with hyperhidrosis. This condition causes excess sweating of the hands, feet, underarms and sometimes other areas of the body. My particular condition caused horribly sweaty hands and feet. Unless you have lived with this, you can't imagine the social stigma, the difficulty doing normal tasks like writing, pulling on socks, and other mundane things, and the stress of knowing you'd have to shake hands with someone. Even typing on a keyboard was a problem. I found Aesthetic Solutions through an internet search on "hyperhidrosis" and called and made an appointment. The front desk staff is very friendly. The nurse that came for me was very welcoming and warm. She made me feel like I was in the right place immediately. I was seen by Dr. Soderberg. I can't begin to tell how comfortable he made me feel. He discussed the treatment protocol which was to have my hands injected with Botox. This sounded like such a simple solution to a life long problem. He treated my left hand that day (since I am right handed) just to make sure I wouldn't have any unusual difficulties with the treatment. The injections are done with a tiny needle, and numbing cream is used before the procedure. During the procedure, they used ice packs and a cooling fan on my hand to lessen the discomfort. For me, I would rate the pain level as a 3 on a 10 pt. scale. Afterward, I had a bit of numbness in one area of my hand, but not so much as to disrupt my normal routine. The results were astounding. Within two weeks I returned to have my right hand done. Dr. Soderberg tweaked the therapy a bit, and I had no loss of sensation in that hand afterward. I would describe this treatment as truly life changing. My hands simply do not sweat at all. None. As a bonus, my feet sweat less too. The first treatment lasted about five months, but my condition never returned to the pretreatment days of wringing wet hands. For the second round, I had my right hand done first, and I had to think twice about going back to have my left hand done because the sweating was fairly well under control.Dr. Soderberg says that he only offers this treatment because of the great results his patients get. I know this could not be a highly profitable part of his business, but I for one am so blessed that I found Aesthetic Solutions. These treatments have reduced my stress level and my aggravation level to zero regarding my condition. And even better, the procedure is covered by my insurance company.
